Garena Indonesia officially opened the tournament e-Sport for the Free Fire Master League (FFML) Season 1 in early 2020. The tournament, which is attended by 24 teams from all over Indonesia, will compete for a prize of IDR 1.2 billion.
Garena Free Fire producer Christian Wihananto revealed that the FFML tournament is open to players all over Indonesia from the community, amateur and professional levels.
“In addition to supporting tiered tournaments from community to professional levels, earlier this year we also accommodated professional teams to improve strategy and game consistency through FFML Season 1,” said Christias at the opening of FFML Season 1 at CGV Pacific Place, Jakarta, Tuesday, 14 January 2020.

Christian said FFML Season 1 will use a league system, where 24 teams e-Sports will compete with each other for four weeks, starting today January 14th until February 14th 2020. The top six teams in each group will enter the Grand Final of Free Fire Indonesia Masters 2020 Spring.
“Through the tournament agenda e-Sports 2020, we hope to become a forum for these young people to become athletes eSports which gave birth to more achievements for the nation, “he continued.
24 Free Fire teams that participated in FFML Season 1, among others; Aerowolf, Alter Ego ZET, Aura Esports, Bigetron Magix, Boom Cerberus, Boss Esports, Dranix Dauntless, Dranix Vendetta, DG Esports, EVOS Esports, First Raiders, GGWP.ID Soekarno, Island Of Gods, Louvre Esports, Onic Elysium, Onic Olympus , Recca Esports, Rosugo Esports, RRQ HADES, Star8 Esports, Team Elvo, The Pillars Claymore, Siren Esports, and XCN Esports.
Among the 24 teams, were EVOS Esports as world champion in the 2019 Free Fire World Cup and Island Of Gods which won the 2019 Free Fire Asia Invitationals regional tournament. No less interesting, this tournament was also joined by Ariel Noah who made his team debut. e-Sport-with The Pillars Claymore.
FFML Season 1 matches will be held every Monday to Friday at 19.00 – 22.00 WIB on January 14-February 14 2020. This tournament can be seen through the service live streaming via the official YouTube Garena Free Fire Indonesia account.
